Did you know there’s a Dutch football player making waves right here in Ottawa? Dutch-born football player Tyron Vrede, who grew up in Amsterdam, has been named to the CFL’s Honour List for June — a recognition of his outstanding performance in the league.
In a recent radio interview, he gave a warm shout-out to his roots, mentioning life in the Netherlands and his love for Dutch food. It’s always inspiring to see Dutch culture represented and appreciated on and off the field!
And it turns out, Tyron is also a fan of our store:
"I think the Dutch Grocery store is amazing — a small piece of the Netherlands right here in Ottawa. It’s a place where people meet, reminisce, and get introduced to the culture.
