The Dutch created the hole-filled cheese knife specifically for semi-soft cheeses, proving that sometimes what is missing from a tool is what makes it work best. This cheese slicer works great for Gorgonzola cheese as well.
The large holes in the blade mean there is less metal for the cheese to stick to. It cuts through Havarti or young Gouda smoothly, without creating a vacuum that tears the slice.
Use the forked tip to pick up the slice you just cut and hand it directly to your guests without touching the food.
